Reginald Barry Benefits Support is a UK-based benefits assistance service helping British nationals who became EU residents before 31 December 2020 claim UK benefits they remain entitled to under the Withdrawal Agreement.

2. What Personal Data We Collect
Depending on whether you make an enquiry or become a client, we may collect:
- Full name, email address, phone number and WhatsApp number
- Spanish (or EU) residency dates and supporting documentation
- Health condition information relevant to your benefit claim
- Current UK benefit status and National Insurance details
- Banking details (only once you have formally engaged our services, for the purpose of benefit payments)
- Facebook Messenger conversation history (where you contact us via Messenger)
- Website usage data collected via cookies and the Meta Pixel
3. Lawful Basis for Processing
We process your data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Legitimate interests — for initial enquiries and assessing your eligibility
- Consent — for ongoing contact, marketing and processing health data (which is special category data requiring explicit consent)
- Contract — once you engage our services, to fulfil our obligations under our Client Agreement
- Legal obligation — for record-keeping and compliance purposes
4. How We Use Your Data
- To assess your eligibility for UK benefits
- To communicate with you about your potential or active claim
- To prepare and submit DWP applications on your behalf (with your explicit consent via our Letter of Authority)
- To liaise with the DWP and other relevant bodies on your behalf
- To maintain records of work performed on your case
- To send you relevant updates about changes to benefit rules that may affect you (only with your consent)
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your data or share it for marketing purposes. We may share your data with:
- The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) — when acting on your behalf with your explicit written consent via a signed Letter of Authority
- Meta (Facebook/Messenger) — as part of the messaging platform we use to communicate. Meta's own privacy policy applies to data processed through their platform
- Our internal CRM system (Teamsale) — for case management purposes, under strict data processing controls
We do not share your data with any third-party marketing companies.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Enquiries that do not become clients: 24 months from last contact, then securely deleted
- Active and completed client files: 6 years after case closure, in line with UK business record-keeping requirements
7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data

- Object — object to certain types of processing, including direct marketing
- Withdraw consent — at any time where processing is based on consent
- Complain — lodge a complaint with the ICO (see below)
